Laser phaco

Laser photolysis is an innovative technology for treatment of cataracts. Laser energy is used to cut up and suction away the lens in the eye as opposed to the ultrasound waves used in conventional operating methods. One difference is that no stress is placed on the back of the retina with ultrasound waves and the operation can be performed with minimal cut incisions.

This results in less stress being placed on the eye, leading to a faster healing process and stability. Thanks to the tiny openings of 1.5 mm in length, less postoperative astigmatism is to be expected as well.
